Melisizwe (Meli) Xulu holds a Master's degree in the Law of Mineral and Petroleum, Resource, Extraction, and Use from the University of Cape Town, with a strong focus on natural resource governance, taxation, and sustainable development. He has developed analytical expertise in resource revenue systems, including international taxation, transfer pricing, and regulatory stability mechanisms in the extractive sector. His experience includes contributing to the Net-Zero Tracker initiative, analysing corporate and state climate commitments, and managing communications for Law Students for Climate Accountability. Meli brings a research-driven, analytical approach to problem-solving, with a clear interest in work that sits at the intersection of energy, natural resources, and economic policy.
His work combines legal and fiscal analysis, ESG insight, and policy research to support strategy development and decision-making across the energy and natural resources sector.
