Zaheer Suliman is a Partner in the Futures Practice at AIA. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg and an MBA from Wits Business School. He began his career at Toyota Manufacturing, where he was immersed in Lean Thinking and operations management—building a strong foundation in value creation and organisational design.
He later transitioned into management consulting, where he has spent over 14 years advising clients across nearly 10 industries on a wide range of strategic and operational challenges. He also completed General Electric’s prestigious Experienced Commercial Leadership Programme (ECLP), which enabled him to work across multiple continents and contribute to large-scale infrastructure programmes.
Zaheer brings a multidisciplinary perspective that blends engineering, business, and international experience. He is passionate about systems thinking, strategy development, and disruptive innovation. His focus is on shaping bold strategies and building the capabilities and organisations required to deliver them.
